Intuit Unveils QuickBooks Bill Pay, an AP Automation Solution

Intuit Inc., the global fintech platform behind TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, has launched a fully integrated solution within QuickBooks that revolutionizes bill payment for businesses. The new feature, QuickBooks Bill Pay, offers accounts payable (AP) automation, intending to streamline financial management processes for businesses of all sizes.

Transforming Bill Payment for Businesses

QuickBooks Bill Pay aims to tackle the challenges that businesses typically encounter in managing bill payments to vendors and contractors. Traditionally, this process involved piecing together different solutions, which often led to a complicated and time-consuming task. QuickBooks Bill Pay addresses this issue by integrating tracking and bill payment within the QuickBooks platform. This integration promises greater simplicity, speed, and accuracy, as well as a 48% reduction in manual entry.

Features of QuickBooks Bill Pay

QuickBooks Bill Pay offers a range of features designed to simplify and automate bill payment procedures. These include time-saving automation, digitized record-keeping, seamless payments, advanced control with roles and permissions, and simplified vendor and contractor management.

Users can import vendor invoices to automatically create bills, assign ownership roles to employees, and effortlessly organize their books. They can also go paperless and stay tax-ready by keeping digital records of bills and payments in one place. Additionally, businesses can choose how to pay vendors or contractors, either through electronic payments or paper checks.

Enhancing the Intuit QuickBooks Business Network

The introduction of QuickBooks Bill Pay also expands the Intuit QuickBooks Business Network, one of the largest business-to-business (B2B) networks. The network aims to automate and accelerate B2B payments and improve overall cash flow.

Pricing Plans

QuickBooks Bill Pay is designed to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes. Eligible QuickBooks Online customers in the U.S. can choose between three flexible plans, each of which includes expert support. The Basic plan, which has no subscription fee, includes five free standard ACH payments per month. The Premium or Elite plans offer additional standard ACH payments per month, custom bill approval workflows, unlimited 1099s issued to contractors or vendors, and predefined roles and permissions.

For a limited time, businesses can also get 50% off the monthly base price for QuickBooks Bill Pay (Premium or Elite) for the first three months of service.
