Adyen Expands San Francisco Presence with New Office Lease

Adyen, the world-renowned financial technology platform, has recently signed a sublease for a 150,000-square-foot office building at 505 Brannan Street. The lease is set to extend through December 2032, subject to regulatory approvals. The new office, spanning all six floors of the building, will serve as a dynamic commercial and tech hub for Adyen’s San Francisco team of over 300 employees.

A Hub for Innovation and Collaboration

The office space has been designed to encourage collaboration and innovation, aiming to create a positive work environment for Adyen’s team. The strategic location also places Adyen in close proximity to many of its North American clients who are also based in San Francisco.

Adyen’s Growing Footprint in North America

Davi Strazza, the president of North America for Adyen, expressed pride in expanding the company’s footprint in San Francisco. He noted that Adyen has been investing in North America for more than a decade and the new lease represents the company’s future ambitions and growth in the market. Adyen counts many leading U.S. companies, including McDonald’s, Microsoft, Uber, and Etsy, among its clientele.

San Francisco serves as Adyen’s North American headquarters, with significant presences also in Chicago, New York and Toronto. Adyen reported in its most recent half-year results that North America was its fastest-growing region, with net revenues up 27% year on year.

Adyen’s History in San Francisco

Adyen originally opened its San Francisco office in 2012 with a diverse, international team and has been steadily increasing its presence in the city since then. The company was recently recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in San Francisco by Built In.
