Colombian fintech startup, Bold, has successfully secured $50 million in a recent Series C funding round, led by General Atlantic. This comes two years after its previous $55 million Series B round.

Bold’s Contributions to Colombia’s Digital Economy

Bold, established in 2019, offers low-cost payment terminals to small businesses, enabling them to accept both present and absent card payments. The fintech company currently serves more than 150,000 active merchants monthly, contributing significantly to Colombia’s digital economy.

The firm aims to promote financial inclusion by democratizing access to digital financial services in Colombia. This approach allows small businesses to overcome payment barriers and focus on growing and succeeding.

Investment Participation

Several significant entities participated in the funding round, including International Finance Corporation, InQLab, and Amador. These investments underline the growing confidence in Bold’s mission and its potential to revolutionize Colombia’s digital payment ecosystem.
