Crypto Startup School (CSS) has announced the launch of its spring 2024 accelerator program in London. This twelve-week course aims to provide early-stage companies with expert guidance, resources, and capital specifically tailored for crypto founders. The program will be hosted in London following the opening of a new a16z office in the city.

CSS Spring 2024: Accelerating Crypto Startups

The CSS program is designed to expedite the path to product-market fit for its participants, setting them up for sustained growth and success. Applications for the Spring 2024 cohort are open until October 20, 2023. The program, which will be conducted in-person, is scheduled to start in March and conclude with a Demo Day in June 2024.

Why London?

The choice to host the Spring 2024 program in London aligns with a16z’s recent decision to open its first international office in the city. The UK boasts a rich talent pool, world-leading academic institutions, and a robust entrepreneurial culture. Furthermore, a16z sees the UK as an emerging leader in crypto regulation. While the company hopes to receive more applications from UK and European founders, applications from teams worldwide are welcome.

Searching for Bold Crypto Innovators

CSS is looking for unique, ambitious founders keen on making significant strides in the crypto space. Applicants should be builders developing a crypto product or interested in learning a web3 programming language like Solidity. Participating companies will receive a $500,000 investment from a16z crypto for a 7% equity stake.

Learning from Industry Leaders

Participants in the CSS Spring 2024 program will not only receive funding and expert guidance from a16z crypto, but they will also have opportunities to interact with industry-leading founders and receive mentorship from effective operators in web3. Previous speakers at CSS have included leaders from Coinbase, Optimism, Solana, Uniswap, and more.

Joining a Network of Top-tier Alumni

Participants will draw inspiration and support from their cohort and join a growing network of top-tier CSS alumni from around the world. Past cohorts have included founders from various countries, including the UK, U.S., India, Germany, France, Argentina, Ecuador, and Canada.

Public Access to Content and Future Programs

All content from the CSS Spring 2024 program will be made available to the public following the program. Plus, CSS is expanding to host two programs each year, with plans to return to Los Angeles for the Fall 2024 cohort.

Despite this expansion, the focus remains the same: to work with and support the next wave of founders and builders in the crypto space.
