Published about 1 year ago

Abu Dhabi-based venture, Zest Equity, has successfully raised $3.8 million in seed funding. This round was led by Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP), with contributions from the Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF) and DASH Ventures. The funds will be used to further the company’s goal of expanding its product offerings in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

A Rising Star in the Fintech Sector

Zest Equity, founded in 2021, has quickly established itself as a primary platform for providing entrepreneurs with the digital tools necessary to manage their own transactions. The platform groups investors into a single legal framework, simplifying the process. In the short period since its inception, Zest Equity has accumulated $5.7 million in total funding. Early supporters include DFDF, 500 Sanabil, Nuwa Capital, and a notable group of regional angel investors, co-founders, and family offices.

Earlier this year, the company joined Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem, and gained access to a robust community of partners and investors to aid in its growth trajectory.

A Solution for Digitizing Private Market Transactions

Co-CEO of Middle East Venture Partners, Walid Mansour, praised Zest Equity’s rapid progress as a reliable solution for digitizing private market transactions in the Middle East. According to Mansour, the increasing maturity of startups and investors in the region is leading to a higher demand for liquidity and opportunity, which Zest Equity successfully addresses.

Rawan Baddour, Co-founder of Zest Equity, explained the company’s vision to promote better communication, transparency, and process standardization within private market transactions. Zest Equity’s platform aims to reduce the costs and complexities associated with traditional private market transactions, offering a more convenient and comprehensive tool for stakeholders to transact and benefit from liquidity in a pre-approved and transparent manner.
