Rahul Kothari Takes Up COO Role at Razorpay

Fintech unicorn Razorpay has announced the promotion of Rahul Kothari to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for India and Malaysia. The move aligns with the firm’s recent global expansion efforts, particularly in the South East Asia region.

Kothari’s Journey with Razorpay

Kothari joined Razorpay in 2019 as Chief Business Officer (CBO). He played a pivotal role in the launch of the company’s first international payment gateway in Malaysia, in partnership with Curlec.

A Wealth of Experience

Kothari’s professional journey spans over twenty-one years across various global markets including the US, Europe, Australia, and India. He has held positions in notable organizations such as PayU, WNS Global Services, and The Boston Consulting Group.

With this new role, Kothari’s expertise will be instrumental in steering Razorpay’s expansion initiatives, starting with the South East Asia region.
