Q2 and Mastercard Partner to Enhance Customer Experience

Q2 Holdings, Inc., a prominent provider of digital transformation solutions for banking and lending, has announced a strategic partnership with Mastercard. This collaboration aims to boost the customer experience by allowing fintechs, brands, and financial institutions that use Helix’s cloud-native core to issue Mastercard debit and prepaid cards to their account holders.

According to the BAI Banking Outlook, 44 percent of respondents claimed that their customer experience delivery is just average. The collaboration between Helix and Mastercard is designed to improve this figure by providing a more comprehensive, enhanced customer experience.

Efficient Resolution of Disputes

The alliance between Q2 and Mastercard will integrate Mastercom, Mastercard’s dispute resolution service, with Q2’s existing dispute intake capabilities, Centrix. This will provide an efficient solution to manage disputes and help financial institutions reduce chargebacks.

Ahon Sarkar, general manager of Helix by Q2, highlighted that modern consumers expect personalization and options in their financial services products. This partnership aims to meet these expectations by enabling existing Mastercard clients to tap into the innovation offered by Helix and Q2.

Q2 Fabric Solution to Issue Mastercard Debit Cards

Financial institutions using the newly announced Q2 Fabric solution will also be able to issue Mastercard-branded debit cards. Q2 Fabric enables banks and credit unions to launch their own digital brands, making their retail portfolios more profitable and adapting to changing customer expectations. It combines digital banking with a lightweight cloud-based core (Helix) and a pre-integrated fintech ecosystem, to speed up the delivery of purpose-built digital solutions.

Hunter Woolley, EVP, North American Business Development at Mastercard, expressed his excitement about the partnership, emphasizing Mastercard’s commitment to making transactions seamless, safe, and secure. Through this collaboration, new partners can bring these same solutions and standards to their own customers.
