Judd Caplain Joins Team8's Fintech Advisory Board

Team8, a global venture group specializing in cyber, data, fintech, and digital health sectors, recently announced the appointment of Judd Caplain to its Fintech Advisory Board. Caplain, the former Global Head of Financial Services at KPMG, brings over 30 years of experience in financial services to the table.

A Wealth of Financial Services Experience

Caplain previously managed KPMG’s largest global line of business, overseeing sectors such as Banking & Capital Markets, Private Equity, Asset Management, and Insurance. He led a team of 50,000 employees across 150 countries, spanning KPMG’s three business lines - Advisory, Tax, and Audit.

Additionally, Caplain managed relationships with top global banks and a network of governments, regulators, media, and fintech service providers in over 40 countries. His extensive experience and connections will undoubtedly provide valuable insights to Team8’s Fintech Advisory Board.

Team8’s Fintech Advisory Board

Caplain joins other notable figures on Team8’s Fintech Advisory Board. These include Rupert Keeley, former PayPal Europe CEO, Linda Hill, Professor at Harvard Business School, and Omri Dahan, former CRO at Marqeta. They work closely with Team8 Fintech Foundry and portfolio companies such as 40Seas and april, offering their expertise to the founders and leadership teams.

The board members also actively mentor Team8’s early-stage founders, providing guidance and a competitive edge as they build and scale their companies.

Caplain’s Future Role at Team8

Caplain expressed his excitement about the opportunity to help create value for innovative portfolio companies. He will be supporting april, a company that has built tax infrastructure for the financial services industry. He also plans to work on ideation tracks for companies at the intersection of fintech, health, and AI.
