Getpaid, the fintech firm founded by former Tink manager, Cyrosch Kalateh, has successfully closed a financing round worth $6 million. Early-stage investor, Inventure, has joined the funding round, solidifying Getpaid’s position as a payments service provider for marketplaces and platforms.

Momentum in the Payments Market

This recent funding of $6 million brings a new wave of momentum in the payments market. Inventure, a Nordic venture capitalist, has joined the round, along with existing investors like Picus Capital. A long list of prominent business angels have also participated, including Christian Grobe and Matthias Knecht, founders of Billie, Supercell co-founder Ilkka Paananen, Zalando Payments head Kai-Uwe Mokros, Spendesk founder Jordane Giuly, and Felix Jahn, CEO and founder of McMakler.

Getpaid’s Business Focus

Cyrosch Kalateh, former head of Tink Germany, founded Getpaid in 2022. The company, as a payment service provider, is focused on business customers - a sector that is not as modern as the consumer sector. Its clients include B2B software platforms and marketplaces. Getpaid integrates payment methods and provides the necessary infrastructure.

Future Development Plans

The funding is set to facilitate the development of new payment features, with a particular focus on automation in payment processing for platforms. The company’s clients include a car parts marketplace and an invoice platform. Getpaid’s team of 18 operates from Germany and Spain.
