Former Betterment Exec Unveils FinanceHQ

FinanceHQ, a platform designed to link individuals with trusted financial advisors and resources, has officially launched. The platform, which was developed with the goal of aiding individuals in planning a more secure financial future, has named Alex Choi as its CEO.

FinanceHQ’s Role in Financial Planning

FinanceHQ’s mission revolves around providing critical financial guidance to help individuals navigate life’s financial milestones. Choi noted the rising demand for such services, particularly in the uncertain economic climate. He elaborated on the platform’s success during its stealth phase, stating that they managed to match hundreds of millions in investable assets with trusted fiduciaries, serving individuals across all age and income brackets.

In addition to supporting individuals, FinanceHQ also aids financial advisors in expanding their client base. After a rigorous vetting process, FinanceHQ brings on board qualified financial advisors and pairs them with individuals in need of financial advice.

Alex Choi’s Leadership and Vision

As CEO, Choi’s focus is on team building, expanding FinanceHQ’s partnerships, and ensuring the delivery of the platform’s mission of financial empowerment. Choi is no stranger to the financial sector, having spent over five years at Betterment where he served as Head of Strategy & Operations for the RIA-facing business unit: Betterment for Advisors. Prior to that, he worked at Morgan Stanley.

New Appointments at FinanceHQ

In addition to appointing Choi as CEO, FinanceHQ has also announced Amanda Cox as Chief Operating Officer and Amar Parikh as Head of Product. Cox has an impressive 30-year career history, having worked at top financial firms such as Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Silicon Valley Bank, and ABN AMRO. Parikh, on the other hand, has led product teams at tech firms including Apple, Betterment, and Expedia.

FinanceHQ has already started forming strategic partnerships. Sami Boghos, Head of Strategy & Operations at Retirable, expressed his excitement about working with FinanceHQ to reach more individuals looking to improve their lives through creative financial strategies.

FinanceHQ was developed inside Wilbur Labs, a San Francisco-based startup studio, by a team of finance and technology industry veterans.
